What is LogYourReps?

LogYourReps takes photographs of your workout results and turns them into data. We store it, show it back to you, and let you export it whenever you want, in plain formats that anything can read. That last part matters more than it sounds. The tools that will one day tell you something genuinely useful about your training do not exist yet, and when they arrive they will need your history in a form they can actually use.

Do I have to change how I train or how I write things down?

No. Any notebook, any layout, your own handwriting.

Does my handwriting need to be neat?

No. It needs to be yours and it needs to be in the photo. It also gets easier over time rather than harder, because the more sessions we see the better we get at reading your particular hand.

How do I send a workout?

Photograph the page and upload it to us in the way you find the most convenient: your account portal on mobile or desktop, or email it to send@upload.logyourreps.com from the email address you signed up with. That address only works once you have an account. There are full instructions on the how it works page.

How long does it take?

Only the workout you just sent waits. We aim for less than a day and we are always working to get faster. Everything already in your account is there the moment you open it.

What do I get back?

Every set, rep and weight in a spreadsheet.

What counts as one session?

One workout.

Can I get all my data out?

Yes, whenever you want. Everything we have delivered sits in your account ready to download, and you can also just ask us to email it over.

What happens to a file once you email it to me?

It is yours and it is out of our hands, so we cannot pull it back or control who sees it after that. The copy in your account is different, because access to that one is controlled and can be taken away again.

What does it cost?

Nothing right now. We are in alpha and nobody is being charged, and there is a fair use limit written into the terms so the system stays usable for everyone.

I have years of old paper logs. Can you transcribe, format and store those too?

Yes, though this one is not covered by the free alpha. Get in touch and we will work out what it takes and what it costs, since it depends on the format and how many years and how many sheets.

What happens to the photos I send?

We keep them, because every angle you send gives our servers more to work with and they predict what you wrote more accurately. That means a better first draft for you and fewer follow-up questions.

Will the app change while I am using it?

Yes. We are in alpha so screens will move and get rebuilt, but your security, your privacy and your backups are not what we are experimenting on and those do not change.

How do I delete my account or my data?

Ask us and we will do it, and we will not ask you why. The full answer, including the one thing we cannot delete, is on the deleting your data page.

Will you ever ask me for a security code?

Never, not by phone, not by chat and not in a reply to an email. If someone asks you for one it is not us.
